Building Better Lives
Foothills Veterans Helping Veterans (FVHV) is a group of volunteer men and women dedicated to helping veterans and their families throughout the foothills of western North Carolina.
We believe no one who has served our country should be needy or homeless.
FVHV is a non-profit (501c3) and has been working to help veterans in the area since 2011.
We partner with many groups and have received donations from many others in an effort to empower veterans and their families to become independent with dignity.
Below are just a few areas where we assist veterans to build better lives:
Friday Morning Meetings
Foothills Veterans Helping Veterans members meet every Friday morning at 9:30 a.m. at the Hickory Soup Kitchen. This meeting is open to all veterans and to anyone who wants to help veterans. The FVHV also meets via Zoom every Wed. morning at 10:30 a.m. Please contact Ric Vandett at firstname.lastname@example.org if you would like to be included on the Zoom mailing list.
Foothills Veterans Stand Down
FVHV also sponsors the Foothills Veterans Stand Down, an annual event held at Catawba Valley Community College that provides a variety of services to all veterans.
